Craving burgers, but don’t have an outdoor grill? Well, you can cook burgers easily indoors on a griddle with less smoke than pan frying.
The great thing about a griddle is that you can cook 8 burgers at one time.
A griddle has a grease catcher to keep things cleaner and prevent smoke from building up.
My favorite griddle is made by the Beautiful Home Line sold at Walmart. The Beautiful brand by Drew Barrymore makes great quality appliances in fun colors.
The griddle heats up quickly and is so easy to clean and store in my cabinet. You can’t go wrong with this griddle!
How to Cook Cheeseburgers Indoors?
Cooking cheeseburgers in a pan on the stove can fill the whole first floor of your home with smoke and splatter grease all over your stove.
I used to dread burger night indoors because the clean up and smell was not worth it.
If you don’t have an outdoor grill, cooking burgers on a griddle indoors is a great alternative.
A griddle allows you to cook 8 burgers or more easily without as much grease splatters and smoke.
Most griddles come with a grease tray to collect additional cooking grease, so your stove won’t be covered in grease.
Griddles are easy to clean and store in your kitchen cabinet because of their slim design.
Ingredients:
- 1lb of Lean Ground Beef
- Parchment Paper
Instructions
Preheat your griddle to 400 degrees. If you have a flat stove surface, you can place the griddle on your stove and turn the vent hood on.
The oven should not be on and all burners should be off when cooking on the griddle.
You could also place the griddle onto your counter and cook there instead.
To cook a good burger indoors, place the beef on a plate and divide equally into 4 or 6 squares.
Then roll all of the meat into meatballs.
Next place one of the meatballs in between a folded piece of parchment paper.
Flatten the meatball with your hand then remove the patty and set it aside on a plate.
Continue to form patties in between the parchment paper until your have 4-6 patties.
Then place all of your patties directly onto your griddle, spacing them evenly.
Allow the burger patties to cook for about 4-5 minutes before flipping and cooking for another 4-5 mins.
Toward the last minute of cooking, place cheese directly on top of all of your cooked patties.
Plate the Burgers
Enjoy the burgers with a brioche bun and your favorite toppings.
Instead of a bun try a cheeseburger salad to save a few calories and use up leftover burger patties.
Storing Extra Burgers
The burgers will stay fresh for 3-5 days in an airtight container in the fridge or in the freezer for a month. So, you can enjoy a burger for leftovers throughout the week!
